Installation instructions for PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing Software version 9.4.x
Before beginning any steps, please be sure you have a current backup of your database.
The first step is to determine which version of the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing (formerly Mapleleaf) software you are currently running. To do this you can simply start the billing software and click the Help..About menu item. This will bring up a small informational screen and will show you a version of the software.
If your software version is 8.80 or higher you can continue on with these instructions. Otherwise, you will need to contact PeakKnowledge for technical support in upgrading.
Upgrade Steps:

Backup your database.

Run the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing.msi file to install the new program.

If your version (which you check above) is 8.80 or higher, skip to step 6.

Using Windows Explorer browse to the installation directory created in step 3 and run the medupdate.exe file.

Start the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing program.

You may be asked to locate your database, which will be the same location as prior versions.

If all has worked correctly you should be able to go to Help..About in the menu system and you should see version 9.4.x.

You can remove any old versions of the Mapleleaf Healthcare Billing System through Add/Remove Programs.
